Youth Forum Nepal (YFN) is a non-government, non-profit making social organization established in 2007 by a group of motivated professionals working in the field of social work. YFN aims of enterprising youths that seek to bring positive changes in the society through moral, social, psychological, and intellectual transformations of youths. Youths have potentials and ideas but they lack orientation and we are here to provide them with appropriate materials and tools. YFN works to strengthen bonds between young people and their community.

  Discussion Program on  
  Strengthening Roles and Responsibility of Youth the Overall Development of the Nation

It is argued that youth needs to promote, foster, and rear in an atmosphere of congenial social environment that enables them to become a creative and socialized member of a given society.  Keeping this view in perspective, we intend to   highlight the issue of youth welfare by identifying the main hazards and obstacles that stand to the attainment the broader goal of 'youth development' in the context of Nepal. Therefore, we are happy to bring this issue for academic diagnosis through this seminar, which will indeed generate a wealth of body of facts for policy formulation and advocacy.  
 
     
 

The goals and objectives of seminar are-

  1. To include , empower & ensure active participation and importance of youth in strategizing policy, plan and implementation of  development programme
  2. Be able to structure and advocacy campaign against corruption and social change
  3. See what people are doing and what you can do for the betterment of society
  4. Holding seminars for entrepreneurs and youth to meet and develop job opportunities
  5. Creating a youth parliament simulation so that young people debate the countries current affairs
  6. Convening meeting between youth and politician to exchange ideas
  7. Organizing a debate on the budget entitled "what do young people know about budget"
  8. Organizing national wide campaign against corruption
  9. How to make accountable to the politician how to influence the stakeholder
  10. Mapping the existing practices of functioning of  beaurocracy , their transparency and identifying gaps in activities.

Regional Symposium on Developing rights-based approach for anti-trafficking actions in South Asia

This program aimed at developing the good governance on the issue of trafficking in women and children at national and regional level in South Asia (Nepal, India and Bangladesh), by creating a congenial environment that may effectively hinder the supply and demand dynamics of trafficking across the borders as well as within the countries.

National Youth Conference for active participation of youth in Constituent Assembly Election

National Youth Conference will gather altogether 50 to 100 youth from nook and corner of the country to advocate youth rights in equal participation in Constituent Assembly Election. This conference will be held at Hotel Himalaya, Kupandol. Registration is now open for the youth aged between 15 and 26. This conference also aims to build pressure to the Government and other concerned authorities identifying key problems on implementation of youth development programs and lack of youth participation in developmental projects.
